LET'S PLAY

I live in cool environments, near streams, with shrub vegetation where I build my nest and hide. I enjoy walking under the bushes searching for food: worms, insects, seeds, or wild berries...When I sense danger nearby, I let out an alarm call to warn other birds and fly away as fast as I can. I am medium-sized, between a sparrow and a pigeon; black in color with a bright orange beak.In the mornings and evenings, my song echoes through streams and shady areas. In spring, Iperch atop trees to perform my best melodies. They say that, after the nightingale, I am one ofthe best-singing birds in Europe.
