Types of Newspapers
The name is usually written using large lettering. This type of newspaper is a Tabloid or a popular paper. The ones that have this red rectangle are known as the Red Tops.
The name of the newspaper
The name of the newspaper is presented in a very sober way. This type of newspaper is considered a broadsheet or a quality paper.
The name of the newspaper
With the introduction of colour in the printing press, newspapers started having pictures, but still they are used with parcimony. In the past this type of newspaper was mainly printed in black and white.

- They also appear in the cover page;
- They show in-depth research;
- They reflect factual, serious news;
- The chosen topics deal with politics, econony, foreign affairs...
Topics
- We hardly ever find articles on the cover page.
- The subject of the news goes around gossip, sensationalist issues, scandals...
- Sometimes the stories written are untrue or misleading (specially in the red tops).
Headlines
Huge headlines, with very large letters, sometimes using this sort of black background.
The tabloids use lots of colours and pictures.
The use of colour
The headlines are used to introduce the article, but they represent the subject presented there.
