BLANCO TAHONA

Made With Ancestral Methods From Start to Finish Staying True to Tequila Making Traditions

During production, a Tahona (a 2 ton volcanic stone wheel) is used to extract the juice from the agaves. A highly time consuming process that produces a richer agave forward liquid with a perfectly balanced, and silky smooth taste. An incredibly special liquid, our Blanco Tahona delivers the purest, most traditional, and highest quality expression of a blanco tequila.

THE NAME

Volcan De Mi Tierra’s latest small batch release: a Blanco tequila entirely crafted using the legendary 18th century Tahona stone method, delivering an unparalleled drinking experience.

Taste Perfectly balanced silky, smooth, crisp taste. The flavor is subtly sweet, a perfect pairing with the herbal and spice undertone. Presence of slightly smoked cooked agave, milk candy, almonds, vanilla, red apple and cranberry define the composition.

PROFILE

Aromas Sweet tones of perfectly cooked agave, wrapped with herbal notes. Soft nuances of citrus, floral and earth notes. Vanilla, almond, milk candy, cinnamon and walnut undertones. Finished by slightly smoked presence of cooked agave, red apple and cranberry

As with the entire Volcan range, you'll find the volcano in the base of the bottle.

THE VOLCANO

Volcan De Mi Tierra pays homage to and is named after a real volcano that sits in the Lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico: El Volcan de Tequila

Good to Know: This can be a 12 day process.

THE TAHONA

After the agave is cooked, it needs to be crushed to release the liquid. For Volcan Blanco Tahona, we use a traditional method by crushing the agave with a 2 ton stone wheel called a Tahona.
