Basic samba rhythms

Create your own instrument break to play in the gaps. You could try:
  • Repeating your rhythm a certain number of times then stopping.
  • Repeating only the first or last section of the rhythm over and over e.g. toffee, toffee, toffee, toffee, toffee, toffee OR chew-y toffee, toffee.
  • Having one half of the group playing the first section and the other half playing the second section - either at the same time or taking turns.
  • Playing some of the rhythm, then remaining silent for the other bits, e.g. toffee toffee (silence for chew-y) toffee.
