This trick is great for hiding the answers to questions, riddles, or other games. It’s very useful for gamifying your content. Follow these steps to replicate this effect:
- Place all the elements on the canvas: the visible letters, the ones you want to hide, the lines underneath, and also the button.
- Duplicate the button and place it on top of the original.
- Now group the new button with the elements that you want to make appear when people interact with your genially. You can learn more about the grouping feature here.
- Apply ‘Hover animation – Fade in’ to this group of elements.
- Now you just need to cover the elements that you don’t want to be interactive with an invisible area; everything except the button. All set!

Interactive images are resources with a very simple structure, but don't be fooled: there's a whole world to be discovered inside. At first glance, we see the base or 'canvas', which can be an image, illustration, photograph, map... but thanks to its points of interactivity spread all over the canvas, we can access tons of content that gives us more details about that part of the image.

Want to teach en event in a more visual way and make it easier to understand? With a timeline, students will understand at a glance details such as duration, sequence, and connection to other different events.
What are they for?
You are probably thinking of historical events or biographies, but it can also be used to describe the steps of a process or project. In addition, students can randomly delve into the events that interest them the most, without having to stick to aspecific order.

Extension, reinforcement, or revision activities are resources that include very specific content and pieces of information. They are usually linked with specific units or topics, as a support to reach the learning objectives.
What are they?
Use them to help students recall concepts and ideas. There's no need to complicate things: you can present them with simple questions or tasks that make them think before interacting with them and revealing the answer.
What are they for?
And, these kinds of flashcard dynamics are very motivating, as they hold their attention and each answer and interaction opens up new possibilities for discussion and active participation.
Interactive images are perfect for conveying ideas in a very simple way and encouraging student interaction and curiosity aboutyour content. They will be able to explore the image and discover each point of interactivity at theirown pace.
What are they for?
This will help them better understand the context and story behind the image, which is why they are great for teaching paintings or other content with a strongvisual component!
In short: making our lives easier. We can create interactive resources to help us plan our subject and program the activities we want to carry out during the school year.
What are they for?
And if we put all the information in a guide, we will also help the students to plan and organize themselves, since they will be able to access the information when they need it.

Interactive presentations are a set of slides which follow an order and a structure in order to present a topic or some information in a very visual way.
What are they?
Try it out before sharing it. In order for this trick to work, the flashlight must be between the canvas background and the hidden objects. You need to add the canvas background first, then the flashlight, and then the objects. If you haven’t done it in this order, you can use the Order button to reposition them.Trick from Florina Jelescu, International Markets Growth Manager
Exploring is fun! That’s why the flashlight trick is always a great success. You can use it in the creation of gamification content to hide a secret code or anything that fits with your story. This resource will make your escape game even more engaging. To create this effect:
- Make the canvas background black, or whatever color you like.
- Add an object like a flashlight, a lightbulb, or a magnifying glass to your canvas. You can use the search bar in Resources to find it.
- Then also add a shape that will act as a beam of light, group it with the flashlight, and make it draggable. Give it a color that stands out on the background.
- Now add the text boxes and objects that you want to be hidden and give them the same color as the background.

The purpose of a word wall is to create a visual reference that students can easily access during lessons. Teachers use word walls to reinforce spelling, promote reading comprehension, and expand students' vocabulary. Students are encouraged to refer to the word wall when reading, writing, or discussing topics, fostering a print-rich environment and supporting language acquisition. Additionally, interactive activities such as word games and discussions can be incorporated to make the learning process more engaging.

Need some help getting started with creating assessment support resources with Genially?Follow these stepsTip: First describe the levels of each extreme (the maximum and the minimum). Once you have them, it will be easier to write the intermediate ones.
- First define the evaluation criteria. The idea is to match them with the teaching objectives. What skills, actions, and behaviors do we want to develop?
- Next, define the possible rating levels. We recommend not having too many so that it is not a very complex resource to use.
- Describe each of the performance levels. This may take more time, which is normal. The important thing is that they are unambiguously defined and clear. For example, it would not be useful to state as a criterion that an essay is 'well presented'. You should specify: for example, 'correct margins and paragraphs, and good handwriting'.
