Healthy eating is based on balance. You can enjoy your favorite foods, even if they are high in calories, fat, or added sugars. The key is to eat them only occasionally and balance them with healthier foods and more physical activity.

Carbohydrates
Ex: bread, grapes and potatoes
Carbohydrates, also called carbohydrates, are one of the main food groups along with proteins and fats. They are the main source of energy
Proteins
Ex:fish, meat y chickpea
They provide the materials necessary to grow and repair tissues. They can be of plant origin, such as that come from legumes, seeds or nuts, or of animal origin, such as those we obtain from fish, meat, eggs or derivatives.
Fats
Ex:fish, oil, butter,
They provide more energy than carbohydrates, but more slowly. They are mainly in oil, dairy derivatives, like butter and cheese, and nuts.
Vitamins
Ex: Apple, broccoli and kiwi.
They regulate many processes in the body so that they function correctly. There are foods such as fruits and vegetables, but also others such as, for example, legumes, seeds, eggs and fish.
Minerals
Example: eggs, milk and sardines
