Diana died on 31 August 1997 in a car accident in Paris under the Place de l'Alma. She was in the car with Dodi Al-Fayed, her partner, their chauffeur Henri Paul and Trevor Rees-Jones, Al-Fayed's bodyguard. They all died in the accident
