This is a short module to welcome you into the course. Please finish before you come to class the first day and we will discuss more together. Feel free to interact and post questions when you have them. Our goal is to get you through this class and pass the OC MICN final exam with flying colors!

My name is Julia Afrasiabi and I will be the lead for this class. I am the BHC for UCI Medical Center. I have been an ED/Trauma nurse for 16 years. I love using my critical thinking skills to assist EMS personnel with the care of patients in the pre-hospital setting. I am excited to have you join the MICN team!

We are excited to have you in our MICN class and we look forward to working with you all! Don't worry, canvas looks overwhelming but this platform is easy to use and helps us cut down on the in-person time. You can access everything in canvas as much as you'd like to aid you in your studying. Please reach out to any of the Base Hospital Coordinators if you have any questions or need help.
