In 2017 I joined UNICEF as an ambassador, I went to Recife, Brazil in June 2019 to help the children there, one of the visits I made in Recife was to visit the children at COMPAZ, which is a community centre, they have partnered with UNICEF Brazil, they help to keep teenagers away from street activity and works to provide a space for them that embodies peace, education and inclusion. Since COMPAZ and UNICEF have partnered in educating young women, violence in Recife has decreased by 35 percent.

Also in my role in fighting poverty with UNICEF, I undertook a workshop with young women and men that were a part of a program implemented by UNICEF Brazil called Empodera Today Girls, Tomorrow Women, they are committed to social and economic empowerment of girls and teens by promoting gender-responsive public policies. I worked with the children to have a dialogue about how to continue to empower women for the upcoming generations. Also, while in Recife I visited the Altino Ventura Foundation, a clinic that offers emergency services and assistance to low-income patients, specifically children and families that have been impacted by viruses and diseases.

Context Sofia Carson was bullied as a child, and felt like she didn't fit in. She was lucky that her parents supported her to go to college at UCLA. She went on 200 auditions before sh got her first job. As a child her mother took her to an organisation in Columbia for abused women and girls. While she was there she met an 11 year old girl who had just had a child. Meeting her Sofia realised that no matter what she had a duty to this girl, and to the world, to give.
