Conclusion

Assessments within the PrairieCare organization vary depending on the age of the patient, the treatment program, and the individual needs that arise. An approach this open-ended and with roots in trauma-informed care aims to address the symptoms that impact daily life in order to help build resilience within the program and eventually, beyond. PrairieCare is only one of many places where psychiatric care is offered. Effective assessment may be best measured by the experiences of the individuals within the various programs. A trauma-informed, individually tailored approach can greatly impact those who are seeking healing and resilience.
