INDEX

It was a time of profound and radical economic, social and technological transformations that began in eighteenth-century Europe, specifically in the Kingdom of Great Britain

What was the industrial revolution

The development of technological innovations (such as the steam engine) and mechanized industries, such as textiles, metallurgy, steel (iron and steel) and mining.

The enrichment of the bourgeoisie and its growing dominance over the economy and politics

The massive migration of the population from the countryside to the cities.

The Replacement of artisan workshops and Production of Manufactures

Large-scale industrial production, called the "agricultural revolution"

CHARACTERISTICS

The antecedents of the Industrial Revolution had to do with the Renaissance of European culture after the Middle Ages and its entry into the Modern Era, which represented a new appreciation of science and knowledge

3. CAUSES

To make the steam engine more useful for other purposes, it had to be made more efficient, both in terms of fuel consumption and power. In 1778, they perfected a freestanding condenser to greatly increase the efficiency of the machine.

The steam engine was born out of the need to pump flooded mine shafts and allow for deeper mining.

The steam engine, which harnessed energy from the expansion of hot water, is often cited as the most important invention of the Industrial Revolution, mainly because many other subsequent major inventions used it as a source of energy
