Since the dawn of time there have been difference between man and woman, based on different physical characteristics, that made woman and man have different role: the man was the one that hunted the animals to provide food for the family, and woman was the one that should take care of the family. For a long time this distribution of roles was the best, until humanity started to evolve from tribes to civilization, at this point in time there was no need to divide the family in hunters and protectors, the physical strength had no longer an essential role, and only thing that mattered was the social status, then why are the women still less considered than men? That’s a good question, and the answer simply struggle to exist, because all the reasons to think that a man is superior to a woman are simply vanished, the only possible reason to this discrimination is the fact that too many people have still the mindset of caveman, and it is our duty to make these people change.
Introduction
Women's rights trace back to the 19th century, with the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848 pushing for women's suffrage. The 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment granted U.S. women the vote. The mid-20th century brought the second wave of feminism, addressing workplace equality and reproductive rights, led by figures like Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem. In the 21st century, issues like the gender pay gap and sexual harassment persist, with the #MeToo movement highlighting them. The history of women's rights underscores an ongoing journey for gender equality, requiring continuous effort for a just and equitable world.
