Introduction

This project aims to help the OSY to become a reader within the reading intervention. It improves memory and communication skills among OSY. As well as to improve one's vocabulary skills. It will also give motivation to the learners to boost their self-esteem and courage. This project will support OSY in finding pathways to make decisions and plans in the future.

Why it's important for teens to read

  • share and see how others have found solutions to problems.
  • develop their vocabulary.
  • improve their writing.
  • gain confidence when speaking.

Goals

Specific

  • Provide reading opportunities for Summer Reading Programs.
  • Host a Read-in.
  • Host Reading-Related Events at School.
  • Host a Mystery Check-Out Day.

03

As teens' lives become increasingly digital, books compete with the compelling lure of social media, games, smartphones, screen media, and schoolwork for teens. Find inspiration and strategies to encourage teens to read for pleasure.
