Renewable Energy
- Wind enerGY (Wind Turbines)
- Hydro Energy ( Uses Water)
- Solar Energy ( SOlar Panels)
An Example of renewable energy resource:
an energy that can be acquired through means of not depleting the resources of an area.
What is Renewable Energy Resource?
Geothermal and Hydroelectric Energy: How are they generated?
Geothermal Energy can be generated in two ways:
NEXT
It is where heat from within the earth changes water into steam (water in the gas phase), which turns steam turbines that generate electricity.
Geothermal Power Plants
It removes the heat from the fluid in the earth connection, concentrates it, and then transfers it to the building.
Geothermal Heat Pumps
- a form of energy generated by the motion of water and is converted into electricity.

HYDROELECTRIC ENERGY
The Philippines currently has 7 geothermal fields which supply about 12% of the nation’s energy, with a long-term plan to nearly double capacity by 2040. The Philippines is also a great location to harness hydroelectric energy because of its abundant water resources. With more than 70 plants in operation, the Philippines has a total installed hydropower capacity of about 3,701 MW.
Is our country, the Philippines, a good location to harness Geothermal and Hydroelectric energy?
