"Would like" has the meaning of "want", but it is used for more polite expressions.
interrogative Form: Would+ subject + noun +? would you like a piece of cake?
Negative Form: Subject + would not like + noun wouldn't I would not like a glass of cola. She wouldn't like a piece of cake.
AffirmS Form: Subject + would like + noun I would like a glass of cola. She' d like a piece of cake.
Examples: I'd like some milk. I'd like some olives. I'd like some eggs. I'd like some bread.
Contractions
