My Concentration

My concentration idea was expressing and exaggerating emotions through the use of color and lines.

Leading Questions

- “Which emotion should I bring to life that wouldn’t make it a one dimensional piece?"-“What subject should I choose to illustrate that would accurately portray these emotions?”- "What details would contribute to the exaggeration/portrayal of these emotions?"

The materials I used was prisma colored pencils and sharpie.

My idea for this piece was to convey the feeling of being overwhelmingly alone or drowning. I focused on the thickness and intricacy of the lines to convey feeling overwhelmed.

My first Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint

My idea for this piece was to convey the emotion of grief, depression and sadness. I focused more on deep blues and purples in lines tightly around the subject to convey depression or grief.

My second Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint

My idea for this piece was to convey the emotion of rage, anger and fury. I used different shades of red to show that. I also focused more on the expression and lines to exaggerate it to show rage.

My third Piece

The materials I used was prisma colored pencils.

My idea for this piece was to convey anger or annoyance. I focused more on detail of the mouth to make is as realistic as possible in contrast to my style.

My fourth Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint

My idea for this piece was to have my subject be secluded and overwhelmed. This piece conveys that feeling by having the hair take up an overwhelming amount of space.

My fifth Piece

The materials I used was ink and copic markers.

My idea for this piece was to show the feeling being pressured by others. This piece conveys the feeling of being pressured by parents or peers, through the use of tight overwhelming lines.

My sixth Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint

My idea for this piece was to convey the feeling of lonliness.The lone island is representative of isolation, especially being cast out by society.

My seventh Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint

.In this piece, I wanted to show what people's actions can cause; i.e sadness. The main message was to show the contrast of good and evil by using color symbolism.

My eighth Piece

The materials I used for this piece was acrylic paint on cardboard.

.In this piece, I wanted to show disgust through the color and expression. The green in this piece represents disgust or repulsion, along with the facial expression.

The materials I used for this piece was photoshop,

This piece conveys feeling silenced or voiceless in a world where it is difficult to speak up. Through the use of lines, colors, and expressions, I was able to acheive that.
