Fancy joining EDF on their journey to achieve net zero in the UK? Great news - there are several early career opportunities for you to explore. EDF offer early career opportunities in the form of apprenticeships, graduate programmes and industrial placements. We’ll explore each of these pathways in detail throughout this module, but for now, we’ll provide a brief overview of each one.

If you’re passionate about tackling climate change, EDF’s apprenticeship programmes offer the opportunity to develop an exciting career whilst helping to create a more sustainable energy future. The duration of EDF’s apprenticeship programmes varies, typically ranging from two-four year placements. Completing an apprenticeship with EDF can see you walk away with a qualification, whether that be a diploma in your area of expertise or even a degree!

Each year, EDF offers multiple 12-month industrial placement opportunities, providing you with the chance to spend time embedded in the business, contributing to meaningful projects that directly impact the company’s ambition to help Britain achieve net zero. You’ll discover what it’s like to work in your area of expertise and what’s expected of you in return. It’s a chance to trial a career to understand more about EDF’s sector and the different career paths available.

Graduate training programmes at EDF guarantee that you’ll make an immediate impact, powering the nation today, whilst helping to build a sustainable energy future for tomorrow. EDF offer graduate programmes across different business areas, including finance, data and technology, procurement/supply chain, science and engineering, and much more! Graduate schemes can last anywhere between 18 months to three years, and you’ll also have a dedicated support network around you to help you with your personal and professional development.
