These things could be achieved if actual preparations were made during a the person's life.

A lot of different preparations were required, these included:1. PURCHASE OF SMALL FUNERAL ITEMS: Funeral items were placed in the tomb, these were bought in special places as specials shops or temples. Wealthier people get items such as: furniture, expensive coffins and jewllery. Items were divided into two classes: The ones for protection in the after life and the gods or essentials as; food or clothing. 2. COMMISSIONING OR BUYING A COFFIN: Coffins were probably the most important piece of funerary. They were made to protect every single part of the body for the afterlife, it was covered with prayers and spells from funerary texts, important religious symbols, and drawings of some gods and goddesses related with death, protection and the underworld. FACT: The first coffins were rectangular and simple wooden boxes. 3. PREPARING THE TOMBS Many years could spend building a tomb, which for the acient egyptians was called as 'Houses of eternity'. The exact purpose of it isn't really clear yet, but its thought it was built as a protector of the tomb and temples of that area. However some people believe that it was built by Khafre's older brother (Redjedef) to commemorate their father, Khufu.
