Introduction
Eco fashion responds to consumer demand and contributes to the protection of the planet and its future. For a more sustainable fashion it is important to start from the production of fabrics.
Eco
It also promotes the responsible distribution and consumption of fashion items. This means ensuring that the supply chain is ethical and that workers are paid fair wages and work under safe conditions. Green fashion also emphasises reducing overconsumption and creating durable, long-lasting clothing items.
Organic fashion emphasizes responsible production, which includes minimizing waste, reducing energy consumption, and using renewable energy sources. This includes choosing manufacturing processes that are less harmful to the environment, such as using natural dyes instead of toxic chemicals.
One of the primary focuses of eco fashion is on the materials used in production. Sustainable fashion emphasizes using natural and organic materials, grown and harvested without harmful pesticides and chemicals. These materials are biodegradable and do not contribute to the buildup of waste in landfills.
ECO FASHION?
Sustainable fashion refers to the concept of creating fashion items in a way that reduces the environmental impact and promotes social responsibility throughout the entire production process. It aims to create fashion items that are environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable.
Lucy Siegle
"Fast fashion is not free. Someone somewhere is paying the price".
What is
The following countries' sustainability themes and their nuances, particularly in the fashion industry, are highlighted in this diagram.
Now let’s see how to represent it
So let’s make an example
REC Watches is a Danish independent watch brand, founded by Jonathan Kamstrup & Christian Mygh in 2014. They use unique timepieces made with original materials from extraordinary and iconic machines throughout human history.
REC Watches and their Eco Fashion:
Watch
Their mission is to preserve the legacy and history of the icons they work with, allowing customers and enthusiasts across the world to obtain a small piece of history on their wrist. They exclusively use original parts which are considered salvage, excess or otherwise unusable. In addition to the history that they represent, the use of repurposed original materials also has an interesting side effect, as no two watches will ever look exactly alike due to the variations of patina.
All their products are developed in-house in Denmark, made in Switzerland, and “naturally limited” to the amount of pieces which could be made from the available source materials of each donor machine.
The world of fashion is called to shape its own future; tradition and progress collide with problems related to pollution levels unprecedented in the history of our planet. Never before has it become necessary to think about the concept of the company in an eco-sustainable way. Thinking about fashion, in fact, in an ecological way becomes the challenge to be able to give life to a leading sector of our economy.
Green is the new Black
Finally we can say that
