WHAT IS IT?

Lots of goverments had made a lot of efforts to reduce it.

It is caused by sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide.

It has very negative enviromental effects.

It has a lower PH than normal rain.

It is a broad term that includes any form of precipitation with acidic components.

WHAT THE ACID RAIN IS?

CHEMICAL REACTIONS THAT PRODUCE ACID RAIN.

Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO 2) and nitrogen oxides (NO X) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents.

The acid rain has been shown to have adverse impacts on forests, freshwaters, soils, insects and aquatic life forms. Also, persistent acid rain reduces tree bark durability, leaving flora more susceptible to environmental stressors such as drought, heat/cold and pest infestation.
