When
Whow
Edward Jenner talked with a young milkmaid who said that she wont’ have the smallpox because she already had the cowpox. This aroused Edward's curiosity and he decided to investigate it. His hypothesis was that if one person was infected willfully of cowpox and then you try to infect him with smallpox he won’t be affected. To test his hypothesis he infected a 8 year old kid with milk pox, the kid was sick for some days but with time he recovered totally, then Eddward tried to infect the kid with smallpox but he did not contract the disease, which made his hypothesis correct. In 1797 Jenner presented the study to the Joyal Society describing the experiment, but the scientists needed more proof. Jenner experimented for several years until in 1798 he published his research but people did not accept it and defined the vaccine as something disgusting. Finally, over time, Jenner's vaccination method became more famous and was finally approved and spread throughout the world.
