Chilseok
This team were facinated by the idea that mythology can inspire some of our modern day events and festivals and so they set out to find a Korean Myth or Legand that still had influence on the celebrations of today and they found Chilseok! The team was led and co-ordinated by Boahn Pan and featured work by Luca Davies and Nick Basirov
Korean Mythology
Bestiary and Gods
Ralph Johnson and Xander Healy created a Bestiary including a very detailed character profile of a large number of Korean Gods and Beasts! They even created their own book logo!
Goblins - The Play
Thomas Jasak, Max Van Der Klooster and Mateus Furtado Reis not only researched the Korean mythological creature of Goblins but found there were three different types and taught us about their differences through the medium of a written and performed play!
WELL DONE UPPER SCHOOL MYTHOLOGY FOR ANOTHER FANTASTIC AND WHIMSICAL YEAR!
Summer Term 2023
Korean Mythology
In this final, summer term of Upper School Mythology Club, the students chose to look into an area of mythology that in the two years of the Club's existence, we have never broached - Korea!
With some of the mythology members entering their final term of the club before leaving WPS, we thought we'd switch it around and they had the chance to research and create a project that would teach the teacher about this unexplored region of myths and legands. Here's a glimpse at their choices and final projects!
