Escape Room Introduction

The Malignant Hyperthermia (MH) Escape Room is designed to engage the participant through a series of challenges. Each challenge will focus on a specific component of MH. The participant must successfully complete each challenge to proceed and eventually escape. The challenges are designed to reinforce the participants knowledge on how to appropriately respond to an MH crisis. An MH crisis can occur anywhere within the hospital setting. The Emergency Department, the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care, and Labor and Delivery are considered HIGH RISK areas. Rapid recognition and appropriate treatment is the best way to protect our patients and ensure favorable outcomes.
