INTRODUCTION

A2A is an italian company organised as a spa that generates distributres and markets renewable energy, electricity, gas, integrated water supply and waste management services. The company as presence in the north of Italy. Was born on 1/01/2008, by the manager of 3 company: Azienda elettrica municipale, Azienda milanese servizi ambientali (both of Milan) and Azienda dei servizi municipalizzati of Brescia. The head quarters is in Brescia

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action programme for people, the planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries. It incorporates 17 Sustainable Development Goals into a major action programme for a total of 169 targets.

This is the principle on which the circular economy is based, one of the two pillars of their long-term strategy to contribute to the sustainable development of the country. In the 2021-2030 Strategic Plan, they foresee a strong push towards the production of energy from biomethane, reducing the use of landfill in order to do without it in the future.

Construction sites: Every day they work to upgrade and make more innovative their infrastructures that are located throughout the national territory. They do so with the most advanced technologies because they look towards achieving the ecological transition of the country. But above all, they do it to improve the quality of life of communities. By producing energy from renewable sources and applying the principles of the circular economy, such as recycling and recovery of matter and energy, their plants bring numerous advantages to the territory.

Projects

Environmental, Social and Governance sustainability issues guide their long-term investments based on their 2021-30 Strategic Plan. All their services and business areas, in fact, have concrete impacts on the daily life of each of us and on the future of the new generations. Energy, water and environment represent the fundamental elements in their purpose - to be a Life Company - and are at the same time the heart of the path towards the ecological transition. This responsibility determines their growing commitment to integrating economic, social and environmental aspects into decision-making processes and to making their results measurable. Moreover, through a structured process of materiality analysis, they define the contents to be reported as relevant both for the Group and for stakeholders.

As Life Company, they are committed to achieving the highest standards of quality and efficiency of the services they offer every day, thanks to a sustainable and circular value chain, in which all their activities and services are aimed at supporting the communities in which they operate, which are at the heart of their model. The connection between all the business areas that distinguish A2A is the strategic key to effectively contribute to the realization of the ecological transition of the territories, thanks to the pillars of their plan: the energy transition and the circular economy. They mapped the entire value system by adopting a strategic approach to the ONU 2030 Agenda sdgs to identify areas of greater environmental and social impact and to set themselves increasingly challenging sustainability goals.
