During 1975, a man named Garrett Brown invented the steadicam. The steadicam technology is type of camera which has weights built in so when using a handheld camera the movement won’t be shaky whilst still being able to access fluid free movement. This made filming certain scenes very easy as it would cost less and look amazing. Some of the most famous examples of this camera being used is in Rocky when he climbs the stairs or in The Shining.

Special Effects/CGI
In the 1990s new special effects technology was developed allowing CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to be created. CGI allowed animated films to be made such as Toy Story, which was one of the first. This was first made my Industrial Light and Magic in the 1970s but only came to light in the 1990s. This also allowed fake special effects to be added post production rather than being set up during filming.
