UNIONS
Resources
When industries first began, they were created under laissez faire rules. This meant they could treat their workers in any way that would maximize profits.
Industries
Because these companies could treat their workers an y way they wanted, employees would be treated horribly.
The presence of many natural resources , such as coal, led to the creation of large industries and companies.
Working Conditions
These conditions-like child labor, no saftey precautions, bad pay, and many others- made the general population very upset and troubled. These citizens then concluded that since they were the workforce, they would be able to force the companies' hands in giving them good working conditions. Thus creating unions to fight for their rights
