What is LCE ?

• a two-year optional course : 4em and 3em
• a more in-depth look at some of the topics of the English class.
• a 2 hour- course each week inscribed in the Cycle 4 curriculum
• a comprehensive exploration of the Englishlanguage, British culture and society and their relation to Europe.
• A linguistic and cultural preparation to apply for International section and baccalauréat in seconde and première

OBJECTIVES

1- Understand the cultural connections between the English-speaking countries and the rest of the European continent.2- Reinforce the language competences (reception, production, and interaction) both written and oral .3- Reinforce the cultural topics of the regular English class while enriching the understanding of the culture of English-speaking countries.4- Allow the students to understand their relationship to others and their representations of the European world while formulating comparisons and contrasts between the different cultures.

a. A minimum language level at B1 .b. A love for reading . Good written and oral skills in English. c. Skills and abilities in group work, research, and project elaboration. d. Initiative, diligence and above all curiosity.
