How to safely use a Bunsen Burner

Before you start you will need to make sure you were your saftey glasses, lab coat, place down a heatproof mat on a stable surface and tie your hair up.

• Connect the gas hose to the gas tap .
• Close the airhole.
• Light your match.
• Hold the match over the barrel.
• Turn the gas on.
• To change to the blue flame open the airhole.
• To turn it of you push the yellow valve on the gas tap down a twist anti clockwise.

Remember to never leave the Bunsen Burner on the blue flame when your not heating something.
