A Flea in Her Ear by Georges Feydeau Allied Craft - Scenic Art Pandemic Interrupted

For our university's production of A Flea in Her Ear by Georges Feydeau, I was the charge artist for Sera Shearer's set design. Sera and I had many discussions before build had begun on the set regarding the atmosphere she and the director intended to create. This play shows the idea of escapism through a bedroom face delivery. The two settings needed to evoke drastically different locales. The Chandebise house is sleek and elegant. The Hotel is much more vibrant and eccentric. As such, the painting and techniques were quite different for the two settings, which was a fun and colorful challenge.
