Capybaras
what are the capybaras?
- The capybara is a species of rodent from the Cavid family.
- They´re native to South America.
- It is the largest and heaviest living rodent in the world.
- Its length can be from 1.1 meters to 1.3 meters.
- They can weigh from 35 to 66 kg.
- They can be 50 to 62 cm high.

where does capybara live?
Capybaras are found in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, Northeast Argentina and Uruguay.

what does capybaras eat?
- An adult capybara can eat 2.7 to 3.6 kg of fresh grass a day.
- They also eat their own poop, which contains beneficial bacteria that helps their stomach..
- During the dry season or in drought conditions, capybaras will also eat grains, melons, reeds and squashes.
