Benito Juarez, born on March 21, 1806, in San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca, Mexico, rose from humble beginnings to become one of Mexico's most revered leaders. Despite these obstacles, he pursued education, studying law at the Institute of Sciences and Arts in Oaxaca. His legal expertise and commitment to equality propelled him into politics.Juarez entered public service, advocating for indigenous rights and opposing the oppressive policies of Mexico's ruling elite. He became known for his integrity and impassioned speeches, earning him the nickname "The Lincoln of Mexico."In 1858, Juarez assumed the presidency amid a tumultuous period known as the Reform War.
