Feudalism -A lot of serfs died. -Many serfs who were left moved to cities. -Lower class could demand higher wages (because there were 50% less workers now)

Social Mobility -A lot of land was abandoned (so many people died, sometimes entire villages or manors). -Unrest and rebellion increased. -The ability to move up in society increased.

Church -The power of the church declined (people were angry at God for all of the death). -A popular movement: to pay for your sins, beat yourself (as is seen in this image), so hopefully nothing like the Black Death has to happen again.

Jews -There is an increase in violence to Jews. -Reason: Jews' religion put much more importance on being clean; therefore, fewer Jews got sick and died from the plague. -Many saw this and blamed the Jews (for example, believing that Jews had poisoned the water supply). -Many were attacked because of these false beliefs.
