Igreja Matriz de Estômbar
- It is located in the center of Estômbar, in the parish of Estômbar and Parchal, municipality of Lagoa.
- It was rebuilt in the 18th century
- Inside the church, in the Main Chapel, there are tiles painted in 1719.
The Igreja Matriz de Estômbar, or Church of São Tiago, is a National Monument built in the 16th century in honor of São Tiago.
- Inside, the Baroque altarpiece placed in the main chapel and in the Capela das Almas stands out, where there is an 18th century altarpiece.
- Equally interesting is the set of baroque figurative tiles placed in the chancel. These depict various scenes from the Gospel and a scene of Saint James fighting the Moors.
- Church from the 16th century, with a body of three naves and a triple apse, has three Manueline portals and two interesting columns with carved shafts where human figures can be seen.
- In the façade rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, the Manueline main portal, of high quality, and the pediment decorated with interesting mass works, characteristic of the second half of the 18th century, are worth highlighting.
