what is it?

It outlines 17 goals aimed at addressing various social, economic, and environmental challenges worldwide. These goals cover issues like poverty and climate change. The main idea behind Agenda 2030 is to create a better world for everyone by promoting prosperity, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and partnership among nations.

What is it ?

Goal number 8 of Agenda 2030 is all about "Decent Work and Economic Growth." It aims to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. In simpler terms, Goal 8 wants to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to work in good conditions, earn a fair wage, and contribute to the economy. It focuses on creating jobs, especially for young people, and improving the quality of those jobs by ensuring they are safe and fair.

This goal also emphasizes the importance of supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and small businesses, as they are key drivers of economic growth. Additionally, it aims to eradicate forced labor, slavery, and child labor, ensuring that all work is dignified and respectful of human rights.

Why did we choose it?

There are 3 ways: 1. Support Fair Trade and Ethical Businesses: Choose to buy products from companies that prioritize fair labor practices and sustainability. 2. Advocate for Policies Supporting Decent Work: Get involved in advocacy efforts to promote policies that protect workers' rights, ensure fair wages, and improve working conditions. 3. Support Skill Development: Invest in education and skill development initiatives that empower individuals to access better job opportunities or start their own businesses.
