You need to decide:
- What are the features that your virus has? HINT: Once you know what bacteria you need to infect, look at it's structures and where it is found THEN think what the viral structures need to look like.
- The virus you are creating is tasked with infecting an antibiotic resistant bacteria. What is antibiotic resistance? Do the features of your virus relate to how it infects the antibiotic resistant bacteria?
- Is the virus reproduction cycle lytic or lysogenic? Why?
- What mode of communication will you display your information? A poster? Google doc/slides? Canva? Interpretive dance?
Bacteria Possiblities:
- methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
- vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE)
- multi-drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MDR-TB)
- carbapenem-resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA)
You'll put all the information about your virus and the bacteria it needs to infect onto a medium of your choice (google software, canva, physical one-pager, whiteboard, ect). Please consult the rubric in canvas for more detailed information about the point categories.
