ISRAEL

Israel was founded in 1948, following the end of British rule in Palestine and the subsequent declaration of independence. The establishment of Israel led to a conflict with neighboring Arab states and resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians

Gaza strip.

The Gaza Strip is a narrow piece of land located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Israel to the east and north, and by Egypt to the southwest with multiple palestinians being killed within it also.

west bank.

The West Bank is another area of land located within the country of Israel, but it is much larger than the Gaza Strip with mainly palestinians living within it also being killed.

palestine

Palestine is a region with a rich history and diverse population, but it remains deeply affected by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which continues to shape the lives of its inhabitants and the prospects for peace and stability in the region.

the British obtained a Mandate for Palestine from the League of Nations in 1922. During the Mandate, the area saw successive waves of Jewish immigration and the rise of nationalist movements in both the Jewish and Arab communities

The United Kingdom, historically, has played a significant role in the Israel-Palestine conflict due to its colonial history in the region and its involvement in the establishment of the State of Israel.

On May 14, 1948, the State of Israel was created, sparking the first Arab-Israeli War. The war ended in 1949 with Israel’s victory, but multiple Palestinians were displaced, and the territory was divided into 3 parts: the State of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict dates back to the end of the nineteenth century
