Talking about the future by means of:

To be + supposed to + ing

Should

Supposed to vs. should
Both of them can be used to express a future idea but there are some differences between them. Please, watch the video to learn about this.

Too, we can say that to be + supposed + ing talks about someting that has already been organised but which the speaker may not be able to do and Should talks about something someone is not probably going to be able to carry out. I mean, you are still being positive about the future but allowing for the possibility it could not happen.

I leave you here some examples:

We are supposed to be flying tomorrow at this time. They are supposed to be leaving the country in two week's time. She is supposed to be picking her up in a couple of hours.

We should get there before the rush hour. they should pick the kids before ten. I should pay the taxis before the day after tomorrow.
