PURPOSE

The advancement of education and knowledge

Beyond the classroom environment, the aim is to promote, sustain and increase individual and collective knowledge and understanding of specific areas of study, skills and expertise...

In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn...

Therefore, select the only example that could not be considered for advancing education:

According to the charitable purposes, advancing education can be done by carrying out activities which improve or support better education for the public, allowing greater access to education - Raising awareness about an issue to gain support for a campaign does not advance education, though it may be a way of furthering other charitable purposes.

A. physical education and development of young people

B. support for students with learning barriers

C. informal discussion on a random subject in a pub or village hall

D. visits to the theatre and other arts facilities, such as Museum

According to studies, higher levels of education can reduce mortality risk, as it can lead to a better understanding of healthier habits, which in turn can lead to a longer life. In addition, it can improve access to better employment opportunities and higher income. Based on that, is it correct to say that each year of education reduces almost 2% of mortality risk?

B. No

A. Yes

To designers it's a perfect shape for treatment: it can be a ball, a ring, a sun, a moon, a clock, a compass, a face. It's not even just a letter; it's the number zero, too. It's a solid sphere or an empty circle. It can be whatever, but there is no need to keep more than one.

Yeah!

When there is enough, you can leave the spare aside

The community setting and informality of the discussion was not an issue. However, the lack of any direction or structure around the content or educational aims do not demonstrate that this activity would advance education.

Poverty index is not only about lack of financial resources or material assets. It does take into account non-monetary aspects to measure multidimensional deprivation, which includes access to education, sanititation, housing, eletricity and drinking water and health care.

Making money is not in itself a charitable purpose, even when doing it to support its charitable activities. Besides, the aim is to support the community rather than an individual ou specific business. In this example, the local shop would be the only benefited in the event promoted, and therefore, can't be considered as a charitable purpose.

- Bubble wrap (a kind of soft plastic) can be recyclable but not together with other plastic materials (hard plastic). Therefore they can't be disposed in domestic recycling bins. - The type of glass used to make mirrors, coupled with the reflective coating on the back, makes it unable to be recycled.- Toilet rolls, paper kitchen towels, napkings and tissues may be contaminated and their fibres are too short and will result in poor pulp in the recycling process. - On the other hand, the cardboard egg cartons are much more eco-friendly. They can be either recycled or composted.

Charities must remain independent and must not give their support to a political party.Political activity can only be a means of supporting or contributing to a charity's purpose. It can't be a charitable purpose in its own right, or the only means a charity uses to pursue its objects.

Did you know that it takes 24,000 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of chocolate? And 15,500 liters for 1 kilogram of beef? There is also water pollution associated with processing, packaging and transporting chocolate. Beef production can cause water pollution (grey water) from large concentrations of manure leaching into soil and from fertilizer and/or pesticides used to grow feed crops running off into waterways.
