Teacher asks students to sit in a circle and sitting between them she asks students some questions and then invite them to answer

The Gifted Student and other fast finishers can do the comprehension activity on their worksheets.

The NAI Student can use his/her disctionary. Teacher will also provide a summary of the 2 .......in Ukranian in order to help him understand better the main themes.

ESA - Study Phase Inductive Learning 20 min

Teacher provides students with some handsheets with two extracts from .....Students in groups of four have to read carefully the extracts in order to find themes, keywords and feelings about ...... Once they finish thay are invited to discuss the results of their research.

ESA: Study PhaseONE PAGER Activity 20 min

Teacher shows on the IWB some examples of One Pagers and asks students to be as creative as they can. Students have to decide which quotes, keywords to write and which pictures to draw about ..... They are free to use internet to search for sample pictures.

Lesson Stages - Day 2ESA Engage Phase - Brainstorming 10 min

Re-activate students uSING the App Mentimeter, teacher does a quick BRAINSTORMING in order to bring out again students ideas about the "........." in literature, art and in their lives. They have to write the keywords, the themes and suggestions about it. The content that students write in the app will appear on the IWB

ESA Study Phase - Video Comprehension Activity 20 min

Teacher asks student to think back at the ..........,Teacher makes a connection with and shows on the IWB a youtube video about. Students watch it. At the end of the video, teacher provides students with a link to do a listening and comprehension activity of the same video using ISLCOLLECTIVE

Teacher asks the Ukrainian student's group to write at least three words in Ukrainian Language. The NAI student will teach them how to write them in the right way.

ESA Activate Phase - Hexagonal Thinking 40 min

Teacher divides Students into groups of four. Teacher provides them some hexagons and a big sheet of paper. Students begin making connection between them. They have to keep talking until they find the connections that stick. To discuss their ideas, they can use the text or internet to find supporting evidence for why they think their connections are the strong ones.

ESA Study Phase - Web Search 40 min

Teacher shows on the IWB pictures of famous people who dedicated their life to ...... Teacher divides students in groups of four and asks to do a web search choosing one of them. Once they finish they are invited to present their search resukts in front of the class in order to have a quick conversation about them.

Flipped Classroom 15 min

Students, at home, watch a video on Flipgrid recorded by the teacher about the topic ... Students may reply to the video on Flipgrid asking questions to the teacher (audio or video)

Lesson Stages - Day 3 Authentic Task Subject involved: English and ICT - MAKE A VIDEO

Students, divided in groups of four, write the script of a video. They have to find and act some famous people...With the ICT, they will edit the video using Powtoon

Formative Peer Assessment Two Star and a Wish

Students show their One Pager to another group of classmates and receive a feedback from them using the "two-stars and one wish" method: they have to give two positive comments (Stars) and one constructive comment (a Wish). Teacher provides prompts such as: "What you did well was...", "what I've learned from your work about how to improve mine is, or what would improve is..."
