LITTMANN STETHOSCOPE

The 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV™ Diagnostic Stethoscope is a breakthrough stethoscope used to diagnose and detect abnormal heart rhythms.

This stethoscope can be used by cardiologists, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other healthcare providers. It is useful when detecting normal and abnormal heart rhythms. Satin is used for comfort and flexibility and is designed for pediatric and adult patient usage.

EAR TUBE The ear tubes are used to hold the ear tips and allow sounds to travel through the pathways.

DIAPHRAGM The diaphragm is used for high-frequency sounds such as heart murmurs or respiration. Diameter: 4.3 cm, 4.3 mil

BELL The bell is used to detect low frequency sounds such as heart sounds. The bell is part of the chestpiece along with the diaphragm.

EAR TIPS Soft-sealing ear tips with an extra pair included. These ear tips block outside noise and fit snugly in the ear.

CHESTPIECE The chest piece is made up of the bell and diagram. Colors: Black, Champagne, High Polish Mirror, Rainbow, Silver, Smoke

FUNCTION: This stethoscope has better auditory functions for high-frequency sounds and helps diagnose patients. Frequency sounds make hard-to-hear sounds such as aortic stenosis and S3 gallop murmurs easier to hear.

1. Align the headset; make sure the ear tips are pointing forward in a comfortable position
2. Rotate the chest piece to either use the bell or the diaphragm portion
3. Clean your stethoscope before using it; check for dirt or lint
4. Check for an airtight seal
