Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, USA. He was the eighth of ten children born to Joseph and Katherine Jackson. His family formed the musical group The Jackson 5, in which Michael began his career.Michael was raised as a Jehovah's Witness by his mother and maintained this faith throughout his life. Michael first marriage was with Lisa Marie Presley and his second marriage was with Debbie Rowe. Michael had three children, Paris Jackson, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. and Prince Michael Jackson 2 Michael died on June 25, 2009.

The child sexual abuse accusations against Michael Jackson were one of the most significant and lasting controversies of his career. In 1993, a young man named Jordan Chandler and his family accused Jackson of sexual abuse. The case was settled out of court.
