1. What is it?
Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe. Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life. For example, you may feel worried and anxious about sitting an exam, or having a medical test or job interview.
What it is?
- Exaggerated feelings of fear dread, or danger
- Trouble concentrating or remembering
- Difficulty falling or staying asleep
- Fatigue
- Irritation or agitation
- Having trouble making decisions
What to Identify?
Untreated and prolonged anxiety disorders can result in the inability to carry out everyday tasks, to work, lead to alcohol abuse or other mental health problems such as depression.There can also be consequences such as rapid breathing or heart ratedizziness or vertigo and headaches
Consequences
Some ways to manage anxiety disorders include learning about anxiety, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, correct breathing techniques, dietary adjustments, exercise, learning to be assertive, building self-esteem, cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, structured problem solving, medication and support groups.
