L'hymne indonésienne actuel est l'Indonesia Raya qui veut dire en Français "Grande Indonésie".

Les paroles ont été écrites par le journaliste Ouage Rodolfe Soupratman et par le prémier président Soekarno, la musique a été composée par Soupratman. L'orchestration est par le chef d'orchestre néerlandais Jozef Cleber.

L'Indonesia Raya ("grande indonésie" ) fut d'abord le chant du parti national indonésien en 1928 avant d'être choisi comme hymne national en 1945 lorsque l'indépendance fut proclamée.

Les paroles de cet hymne ne racontent pas une histoire au sens propre, elles chantent à la gloire du pays. A travers cet hymne, au voit que les indonésiens sont unis et qu'ils considèrent leur pays comme une mère.

Sur cet hymne, nous trouvons des instruments à vents, à cordes et des percussions. L'intensitée de la musique augmente de même que le tempo au fur et à mesure de l'oeuvre. Il est séparé en couplets qui sont eux mêmes séparés par le refrain tous les trois couplets. Le caractère est pour moi doux, je comparerai cet hymne au mot "contemplation".
