Graduation Pathways: Seniors: Please meet with Ms. Gibson to discuss your graduation standing! The Pennsylvania General Assembly in 2018 enacted a law, Act 158 of 2018, that provides students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate post-high school readiness. All students have five pathways from which to choose to satisfy Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements (see the below graphic). You can also view a brief video overview of Pennsylvania’s graduation pathways at the following link: https://youtu.be/V1b3GNGI6X4 CCA this spring is offering students two of the five pathways: Keystone Exams and other Alternative Assessments. Please check out the Testing Information icon in the Infographic for more information. Act 158 Graduation Pathways Chart: Important: If your child chooses a non-Keystone Exam pathway to satisfy Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements, he or she is still required to take the Keystone Exams for federal accountability purposes – your child’s performance on the Keystone Exams in no way affects his or her course grades or progress in satisfying Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements. If you have any questions about the Keystone Exams, ASVAB, or any of the other tests CCA offers, please contact the State Testing Team at statetesting@ccaeducate.me.
Homeroom Advisory Homeroom Advisory will be a Zoom meeting with Mrs. Strunk 2 Wednesdays each month from 11:20 am - 11:50 am. This has already been placed on your Edio Calendar with a link to her Zoom room. I do not plan on taking up the full 30 minutes for this meeting. Here are the dates: 9/13, 10/4, 10/18 , 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, 12/13, 1/10, 1/24, 2/7, 2/21, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 4/17, 5/1 *We will not meet on 3/20/24 as Mrs. Strunk will be on a field trip that day. In these meetings, Mrs. Strunk will provide you with some information about what is going on in the school as well as hear about some exciting programs and opportunities. We also play fun Kahoots and have an opportunity to get to know one another better. Please join us! Mrs. Strunk's Zoom Room
Keystones, ASVAB, ACT, ACT WorkKeys, etc. Registration for the spring Keystone Exams is now open. CCA will administer the Keystone Exams from May 13 through May 23, 2024. If your child is currently enrolled in Algebra 1, Biology, and/or English 10, please register your child for this spring’s Keystone Exams. Passing the Keystone Exams is one of many pathways to satisfy Pennsylvania’s high school graduation requirements. Please click here to review the various pathways Pennsylvania public school students can take to satisfy the state’s graduation requirements. The registration form also includes options for not participating in testing. If you are opting out for a medical reason, we will need a medical excuse signed and dated by a medical professional no more than two weeks before the testing window begins on May 13, 2024. If you are opting out due to religious reasons, you will need to set up a time to review the test booklets at your local family service center. Testing sessions are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at multiple locations throughout the state. Click here to see the locations, addresses, and dates for the Keystone Exams. To complete the Keystone Exams registration forms, you must be logged into your edio Caretaker account. Follow the steps below. See the below screenshot for guidance.
