COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
The Committee will be composed of 4 RCC members and 2 NALC members (at least 2 of which should be drawn from the EDI taskforce/committee) and chaired by VP of Research
We suggest that the Committee forms 2 subcommittees: one dealing with RC governance (2 from RCC & 1 from NALC at least 1 from the EDI Committee/Taskforce) & the other dealing with members' misconduct (2 from RCC & 1 from NALC with at least 1 from the EDI Committee/Taskforce)
The Committee will be initially tasked with determining the complaint procedure, the timeline for processing complaints, & the sanctions by June 2024 to leave time for discussion & approval by EC before December 2024 which is when the Forum registration opens.
To form an adhoc complaints committee which will be tasked with processing complaints about members' misconduct and RC governance.
Motions by Statutes Committee
Police
Monitor (as much as possible) current ISA procedures and processes to make sure they comply with the ISA Statutes (ongoing task).
All our ISA documents need to be updated: ISA Statutes (last updated in 2014), Code of Ethics (last updated in 2001), Code of Conducts (last updated in 2012), Aims and Requirements for Research Committees (last updated in 2019), and ISA Policy Statement (last updated in 2013), etc.Note: We ask that EC members, particularly the VPs, to review the relevant documents and clauses and send us their suggested revisions.
Compile a list of all the necessary and requested changes to the Statutes to be presented for approval by the EC at the Forum and preparing them for approval by Assembly Councils (for example a clause needs to be added to all ISA documents about compliance with the EDI charter [after its approval by the EC], or that all pronouns need to change from "s/he" to "they", etc.)
