E' prevalentemente pianeggiante, non ci sono montagne. Presenta solo delle ondulazioni collinari che non superano i 200m di altitudine.

Essendo, la Danimarca, un paese praticamente piatto, risulta perfetto per lo spostamento in bicicletta

La Bandiera Danese

è la più antica del mondo intero. Il suo nome nella lingua locale è 'Dannerbrog' e risale addirittura al 1219, la data ufficiale della sua nascita. Secondo la leggenda locale, cadde dal cielo nel corso della battaglia di Lydanise per aiutare l'esercito danese, e venne così accolta dalla popolazione locale. viene anche utilizzata durante la celebrazione di eventi importanti, ad esempio compleanni e ricorrenze familiari: non è raro vedere la bandiera su torte e dolci. Da quel tempo non è stata mai cambiata o aggiornata !!

Il noto marchio LEGO è un produttore di giocattoli danese che deve la sua fama a Ole Kirk Christiansen il quale nel 1916 inventò i famosi mattoncini. L'azienda iniziò a produrre i lego nel 1949 ma essi assunsero la forma che hanno ancora oggi solo nel 1958.

ISOLE FAR OER e GROENLANDIA

Le isole Far Oer e la Groelandia fanno parte del territorio della Danimarca. In particolare è davvero curioso scoprire in che modo la Danimarca è entrata in possesso delle isole Far Oer. Esse erano in palio nel corso di una giocata a poker fra il Re della Norvegia e il Re della Danimarca: il primop perse ed il secondo si portò a casa queste belle isole, che dal 1700 sono danesi.
