Here, it's shown how racism was practiced by those who were intellectually impoverished. The intellectual poverty of those who practice racism is evident in their lack of understanding and appreciation for human diversity, in their lack of empathy, and in their reliance on stereotypes and prejudices to judge others. Those who practice racism often demonstrate a lack of knowledge and open-mindedness, clinging to limited and harmful beliefs and ideologies. Instead of appreciating the richness of differences among people, those who practice racism demonstrate a poverty of spirit and thought that leads them to discriminate and inflict suffering on others based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, or culture.
