Imperfecto- descriptive past
  • on-going actions
  • descriptions
  • general time period
  • time
  • age
  • weather
  • habitual actions
Irregular verb - SER (to be)

We use SER for descriptions, time, weather, age, professions and permanent location.

Irregular verb - IR (to go)

In imperfect we use IR to describe an action that was continuously happening in the past - such as "She was going to the store" - it is often used in story-telling.

Irregular imperfect verb - VER (to see)

Ver is considered irregular because once you take off the -ER-, there's nothing left. So we must add back the -E- to have it become a pronouncable word!
