Before you come to your seminars you MUST have done the below
Project Skills Week Seminars 1 & 2
- In pairs you have 3 minutes
- Give examples of the use of soft skills when giving a presentation
- Identify two soft skills that you would each like to develop
- Be prepared to feedback.

Class brainstorm – what symptoms do you have before and during giving a presentation?
Task 2 - Class Brainstorm
- Think of a time when you have had anxiety in a situation where you may have needed to present to an audience, had an interview for a job or a similar situation. Reflect on the following:
- How did you feel beforehand, during and afterwards?
- What did you do?
- What was the end result?
- What could you have done differently then?
- If you were to be in a similar situation, what might you do differently?
Task 3 - Dealing with Presentation Anxiety
- In pairs you have 2 minutes - what thoughts come to mind when you have to do a presentation?
- Be prepared to feedback
- First as an indivivdual take 3 minutes and reflect on presentations you have watched, identify good and bad examples - think carefully what was it that made them fall into that category
- Now as a team compare examples anduse them to create a checklist of, on one side 'Do's', and on the other 'Do Nots ' for presentations
- Be prepared to share your team's list
Task 1 - in groups 15 mins

Seminar 2- Delivering a Good Presentation
- Remember next week you will be delivering you have of your artefact so far in class as a 'mock'.
- Using your notes from the lecture and videos you have watched, decide how you are going to develop your presentation
- Remember the finished artefact is to be both professional and creative
- Use the remainder of this session to work on this
And Now ....
- Your artefact is due at the end of term - how many weeks are left?
- By now you should have decided on your groups' topic for the artefact
- What form will your artefact take (news report, debate, documentary
- Allocated team roles
- Developed your script and story board
- This time is for you to work on your artefact
- Be sure you are up to date with all tasks
- And remember to keep records of all meetings!
