Who is Rosa Parks?

Rosa Parks was an African-American civil rights activist from the city of Montgomery, Alabama. She grew up with discrimination and witnessed a lot of violence against black people.In 1996 president Bill Clinton awarded her with the presidential medal of freedom, she died in 2005 at the age of 92.

Why did i choose her?

Why is she so famous?

Rosa Parks refused to give her seat to a white passenger on a bus, and after that, the bus driver called the police and she was arrested; it started a boycott and all the black people in the city refused to use the buses for more than a year until the US Supreme Court said that segregation in buses was illegal.

Personal opinion

In my opinion she was really brave; her courage changed the segregations civil rights history. Unfortunately there are still many country where racism is still present.
